Spring is just around the corner and I decided to do a monthly round up of my favourite products this month. I’m a skincare fanatic and I love trying out new products. After the festivities the cold winter, I think January is the month to get your skin back to its best. So here are my top picks!
I use this Jade Roller from Skincare by Mai to get rid of my puffy face. If you ever had a face and neck massage, you know how well is works, as quick as detox. The idea is to facilitate lymphatic drainage, stimulating the fluid that flows through the lymph nodes in the jaw and neck. The Jade roller has been a skincare staple for empresses and the upper echelons of Chinese society since at least the 17th Century. The device is really simple: two smooth jade rollers (one large and one small) held at opposite ends of a stick thats jade itself. The naturally cooling properties of the stone also helps to de de-puff the skin. After washing my skin and applying a serum and a moisturizer. I use the roller around my chest and neck, rolling quickly and gently to help increase blood flow, with few extra strokes on key areas such as jawline and cheekbones. I than carefully use the small roller around the eye area, out and over the brow. It really does work.
This scrumptious Firming Body Butter has natural soothing oils and highly potent extracts to hydrate and shield your skin against moisture loss. This product applies like butter and melts into your skin like an oil. Add this body butter to the end of your evening routine after the using the firming scrub and experience all the serenity your mind, body and soul needs. Your skin feel soft, supple and nourished. It also smells heavenly!
Bea Skin Care is a London based brand. They specialise in cutting edge aesthetic skin treatments. Their products are vegan and cruelty free. I am absolutely in love with their Brightening Face Cream and Body Lotion. I have been using their products for a while and I can’t get enough of them .
Had a long day? Check. Skin dry AF? Yes, we all have been there. If you already experience dry skin, frigid temperatures will only make you feel dyer. Nobody has time for that! Bea’s Skincare Brightening Cream not only deeply penetrating but also leaves your skin feeling as soft as a baby’s bottom.
I have been using Christian Breton for a number of years. I think this brand is so underrated and in some ways I’m glad not many people know about it. (otherwise the price will double) They have some holy grail products that I can’t live without, if you are following me you know the ones I’m talking about (Liftox, under-eye cream, neck and décolletage cream, gold serum). I use this serum before bed with my jade roller. It leaves a beautiful glow on the skin because the serum has gold particles inside.
Precious Gold Eye Cream is a perfect for those mornings where you wake up feeling less than bright-eyed. Christian Breton’s Precious Gold Eye Cream is a lightweight formula which instantly awakens the eye area, depuffing and diminishing dark circles as it hydrates.
Don’t be fooled by mesmerising layers of colour- this is some serious hair oil. All you need is a few drops of this hair oil (I use it on towel dry and dry hair) for impressive results. This oil will add shine and softness, decrease frizz and for those of you who regularly bleach your hair, you’ll actually be able to run your fingers through it. I tend to use it about two-three times a day. I got into a habbit of using it and I can’t live without it.
